Clay is an ideal medium because it is deeply responsive to touch. It allows the body’s memory, pressure, and gesture to literally live in the object.
I use long coils of clay to "weave" or "knit" sculptural forms, bridging ancient ceramic traditions with the aesthetics of textiles. Coiling becomes a meditative process, one that explores form through rhythm, repetition, and time.

Many of my sculptures begin as vessels, a form that metaphorically evokes the human body. As I work, these vessels often shift into abstract meditations on form and feeling. Through this transformation, I seek to develop a visual language that perceives and communicates the somatic experience of the body and it's intricate relationship with it's environment.
